Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. Psalm 119:18
There are some events that happen during your day or week that sets you off in a good and fabulous mood and raises your spirit to know that there IS good in mankind.
I am talking about instances when that man/woman stopped to open the door for you to walk through, that kid that helped the old lady cross the busy road or waking up to the realisation that your hubby and kids not only cleans the dishes in the sink, bit threw out the thrash, did the laundry and washed all the floors!!
Ah, these and such events might be a rarity, but we can’t deny that when they happen they make our hearts leap for joy!
So today, I am grateful for the seemingly but not insignificant events of life – the smile from the stranger across the road, that somewhat seems to lighten up your mood, the colleague that makes you a cup of tea because you are too busy to get up from your desk, or the bug you get from a friend, simply just because. These events when we think of them, small as they are, go a long way to encourage and empower our day.
For these moments I am grateful, I believe sometimes it’s God’s way of reminding us the beauty in us all.
Today, Lord, I say thank you for the seemingly insignificant but yet powerful events of life. I pray my gratitude is acceptable in your presence in Jesus name.
Over to you, WHAT ARE YOU THANKFUL TO GOD FOR THIS YEAR?
