“I called on the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and he saved me from my enemies.” Psalm 18:3
Prayer and invocation of God should always be acommpanied with praises and thanksgiving. When we look at the Psalms, we see clearly David’s complete dependency on God, in the good and bad times. Here, in this verse David is reflecting on his relationship with God, the closeness he has with God that gives him access to God to call and ask for assistance when he is in need – and the Lord in return answers – always!
What is your first thought or who do you call upon when trouble strikes? Is calling on the Lord your first reflect action or an afterthought when all other avenues have been explored.
