“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 1 Timothy 2:1-2
Incase you have been away from the news and all forms of social media, today the United Kingdom triggers article 50. This is when it formally tells the European Union it no longer wants to be a part; it wants out and it is leaving!
One can only imagine the ramifications of this as it has not been done before. However, regardless of our stance we are encouraged to pray for our nation and it’s leaders. We are to be those who are to stand in the gap, to lift up our nation with all it favors and faults before the throne of God, and pray that He will continue to work His will through the leaders and in the land.
So today, pray not in fear but in confidence that God will lead our leaders on the right part at this precarious time and continue to bless the land. Pray that God will give them the wisdom, discernment, knowledge, and focus required for the work at hand.
When we pray for our leaders we are really praying for ourselves and for peace in our land.
Much Love, 😘
