“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. John 10:11
God’s relationship with His children is that of a Good and perfect Shepherd. This is stems from having an intimate and cherished relationship with us – He knows us and we know Him – we study and understand His ways and know his voice.
This type of relationship God models through the corporate church, he raises good shepherds who have His ear and know His heart and in turn leads, protects and guides the sheep on His behalf.
Today, we are thankful that we know the Good and perfect shepherd – God and that we know that the shepherd he has placed over us in a corporate setting has a true relationships with him.
We are grateful because our relationship with God, gives us the discernment to pick out and stay clear of the sheep in wolves clothing – and there are many around the world!
The journey to journey of living according to Gods will as we work with other believers is knowing the Father Himself. We are thankful that this has led us to be under the covering of a sheep that is after His own heart. For this Lord we are grateful, because in turn we can work together as one body to enforce all that the blood of Jesus Christ has already paid for.
Today Lord, we are grateful for the good and perfect shepherd that you are and those you have raised to lead and protect the sheep on your behalf. We pray that our gratitude is acceptable in your presence today in Jesus name. Amen.
Over to you beautiful people, what are you thankful to God for today?
