“And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and [there was] a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald”. Revelation 4:3
I really love autumn! This is because I get to experiment with lots of colours. I am colour person. I need colour to feel vibrant and alive! Colours lift my mood, make me happy and awakens the creativity in me.
Today I am thankful for the vast array of colours that God has created for us to enjoy!
God himself uses colours to show us the beauty of a thing, a place or His kingdom. In Esther for example the bible used the colours that Mordecai wore when he was favoured by the king. Esther 8:15 “…Then Mordecai went out from the presence of the king in royal robes of blue and white, with a large crown of gold and a garment of fine linen and purple…”
The Bible also uses colour to describe the beauty of good workmanship for God “Now send me a skilled man to work in gold, silver, brass and iron and in purple, crimson and violet fabrics…” Isn’t that array beautiful?
I am thankful that I can use colours to express my individuality, my mood, my skills, and the intricate nature that God made me. I am thankful for the beauty in colour itself and the reflection of God’s craftsmanship through colour.
Colours are part of God’s vibrant way to show us the beauty and wonder of His excellent craftsmanship – I am in awe of this and Lord I thank you.
Are you in need a bit of vibrancy to brighten your day? Why not ‘colour splash’ your environment and see the warming and soothing effect this simple gift will bring forth.
I pray that my gratitude for everything colour represents here on earth and in heaven – the pearl gates and beautiful coloured stones. I pray that my gratitude for the simple pleasures and life that colours brings is acceptable in your presence. Amen
Now over to you beautiful people, what are you thankful to God for today? Leave your thankful notes in the comment section below; glorify God and encourage others with your gratitude.
Much Love, Remi
